2011 Escape anyone else with these issues?
Anyone else having issues with transmission, back window leaking, wheel bearings?? I have had it into the dealer several times for these issues.
They tell me that the trans is normal even though it has a hard shift between second and third.
Back window and seal have been replaced and still leaking.
Low level hum and vibration at high speeds which I believe to be a wheel bearing or uneven tire wear from another suspension problem. They say they cannot find any issues at all.
I have never worked in a dealership. I should not and dont think its a good idea to inspect my vehicle that is still under a bumper to bumper warranty.
Does this void the warranty if I do this. I know quite enough to know that something is not "Normal" with my vehicle.
I have never had a brand new vehicle always bought used and always serviced and repaired them myself.
Any dealership guys have any insight to this??

The rear tires on Escapes are prone to cupping if not rotated frequently and I mean every 5,000 miles or less. I just replaced a set of Michelins that only had 56,000 miles on them because of cupping. I just couldn't take the noise anymore. My original set of Michelins lasted 72,000 miles so I gave away a lot of treadlife because I got lazy on my rotations. I thought it might be a wheel bearing but my dealer correctly diagnosed the problem.
TSB: 12-2-2, Date: 02/03/2012, Description: Windows/Glass - Intermittent Liftgate Glass Water Leaks (Window Flange gap out of spec… needs to be adjusted and have seal replaced)
TSB: 11-12-8, Date: 12/22/2011, Description: A/T Controls - Harsh 1-2 Shift/2-3 Shift Flare (PCM Reprogram required)
TSB: 11-5-25, Date: 05/31/2011, Description: Drivetrain - Highway Speed Vibration (Possible Rear Drive Shaft Carrier Bearing Issue) ... I haven’t had this one (yet).
Sometimes, if you don't have a very good service dept at your local dealer, vehicle owners need to do the Dealer Service Rep's job and tell them which TSBs to fix....
Good luck with these...
