390 Big Block question

390 Big Block question

I have a 390 Big block from a 76 Ford truck. Does anybody have any knowledge of this motor. Is it an FE motor? What is an FE motor. Any known rebuild kits? Any help would be much appreciated.

390 Big Block question

If its stock then it's not a 390. It's most likely a 360, unless you were told it's a 390, and know the guy that swaped it in. Yes, its an FE. There are plenty of people who know these motors on here. Why do you ask about the rebuild kit, what's it doing?

390 Big Block question

I'm pretty sure the truck could have come with 390 stock. 76 was the last year the 390s came in the trucks though. Yes its an FE. 352, 360, 390, 427, and 428 were all FE engines.
