Was getting ready to order a brake controller in the very near future for towing my boat, went to look for the plug under the dash for the wiring harness from the controller and find none. Seems weird that my X doesn't have one. I have four wires that come throught the firewall and are terminated in the engine compartment on the main wiring harness, they are wrapped to the wiring harness behind the fuse panel cover in the same fashion. There is also a female plug behind the fuse panel cover to the right( seems fixed, tried to move it but seems to be held down in some manner) that looks like the right kind to plug the controller wiring harness adapter into. Had pictures but seems I can't post attachments Any ideas? Thanks

 

It's a brown plug ti the right after you pull the dash fuse panel. It's behind some sheetmetal supports.

Probably should have googled before I posted, mine is the 6 prong female that is to the right when the fuse panel cover is removed( at least i belive it is) it is gray in my X

Boat? All my boat trailers where hyd. surge brakes. My camper has electric. That is odd to me even at the boat ramps I do not recall ever seeing electric breaks on a boat trailer.
