I am thinking i have a similar problem with my ignition switch
I took my 89 F150 in for recal work on the ignition switch. And now when you get in and turn it over to start it wont start. All the lights come on so everything is working. But when you turn it off and try it again its like the switch then works and starts right up.. I know the little push switch inside the column is fine as I replaced it not to long ago and upon inspection its still intact. I dont want to take it back to the dealership because they will charge to fix it even if they broke it. It never did this prior to the recall work either.
Is there a way to go in and adjust the switch inside the column thats behind the steering wheel? I know I have heard about them needing to be adjusted or lined up..
It is possible and you don't even have to pull the dash. I read that all you have to do is remove the bolts supporting the column and it will drop a few inches and you can get at it. The bolt holes on the switch are slotted so just loosen them and slide it a bit.
