muffler question
I have a 1992 f 250 with a 5.8. Would like to know if i changed the stock muffler out to a more open one would it help out the performance. if so what would be a good quite one. thanks

You may see a slight increase in power with just replacing the muffler, but a better flowing cat back system would be better.
That said, you manifolds are the biggest issue with a stock exhaust system.
I run two magnaflow mufflers inline on my 460 and it is nice and quiet. A single 32inch magnaflow would be the same.

I have a larger single in dual out Magnaflow muffler on my truck and its mild. Actually its a little too mild for my liking. I'm probably going to switch to Dynomax Ultraflo Welded when I get around to to putting true dual exhaust on.
