What brand of grease gun do you use. I have a couple of different ones they all seem to leak when left sitting. Is it me or the guns. One is a Craftsman the other which died was a Stewart Warner.
Also is there any type of quick change tips/hoses for grease guns. It seems like I always have the wrong hose or tip on to reach the fittings on different equipment , trucks & cars
Sorry i dont know the brand i have but its one of those from autozone that cost around 20 bucks. I also have a flexible hose from autozone that accepts quick connects with a fitting sort of like an air line. As for the leakin problem i have yet to see a grease gun that doesnt leak. You might want to try putting a balloon or rubberglove at the end of the hose that will catch the drips. thats what works for me. I also use mobil 1 grease (the cool lookin red stuff) which does not seem to leak nearly as bad as the cheaper grease brands.
I have one I bought from Harbor Freight for $12 and it works great. I don't use my other guns anymore unless I have to grease something where I don't have air pressure. I did take it apart b4 I used it and checked it out and lubed wear points etc. The nozzle hangs on to grease nipples way to tight and it was hard to get it to release so I changed the nozzle.
We use one that is air powered on our trucks, but we have a lincoln battery powered that is a dream for anything, trucks, farm, pickups, whatever, its great.
