......that are greaseable. Whats the trick to greasing the upper one? My gun is a lincoln with the normal tip on it. Rotated the u-joint to align the tip but still can't get it to line-up. Any insight?

I use a soft line (rubber hose). The hard ones are a pain.

I should have said I cant get it to go on instead of line-up. It's alittle bit of both. BTW, I can make the 90 deg. bend with the hose i just cant slide it on the fitting.

I still have the original ball joints and they seem to still be very tight and solid (lucky I guess), but those of you that have the greasable Moog, etc., are you suspending the tire (off of the ground on a jack) when you grease them or just hitting them when the truck is parked?

The reason for asking is when I was a fleet maintenance manager for a number of HD trucks, I found that we had a high rate of king pin failures in districts that had not instructed their outside shops to jack up the axle before greasing the king pins. We found that with the weight of the truck on the king pin, it was only getting properly lubed on one side and stayed relatively dry on the side that bore most of the weight. Jacking the trucks up before greasing tripled the life of the king pins on the test vehicles that we tracked.

This is the "one" I use. It came out years ago for a Chry/Dodge application.

After a trip to napa, ive come to the conclusion that putting a 45 degree zerk in will do the trick. I can tighten the new 45 zerk to the angle that i need it, to use my gun fitting that i have now. This wayi dont have to change back and forth on the gun fitting and two new zerks are way cheaper. Thanks for all the input.
