Help please! romps & code after work
Ran the engine after installing a regulated return + bowl delete, it romps and shuts down. Code is P0198 Engine Oil temp sensor high.
I had the sensor disconnected while doing the work and nothing appears amiss with the connector or wire.
Found a thread by franko72 where he was driving with this code, no mention of romps.
Are the romps and this code associated?
Is there something else I may have dislodged that would cause the romps/dying but not throw a code?
Ran the pump at least 15 times before starting so I don't think there is air in the lines.
Took a break and came to work. Thanks in advance.

Probably just some air still in the system?
Got a fuel pressure gauge on it?
Check your hpop oil reservoir and make sure its (almost) full.
My motorbug will romp for about 6 seconds after first starting her up after not being run for a few days. I think im having a compound set of issues tho. Weak tired old hpop and injectors (200 miles shy of the big 400k) and fuel pressure/air in system issues...
Im sure there are other things to check but i dont know what they are yet...
Xtof

Notes to self:
--don't work on truck in early morning before coffee
--turn off ignition after finishing up with AE
Driving home for lunch thinking through it realized I had not plugged in the connector on the HPOP res facing the valley. Plugged that in but had left ignition on so now got in on the charger...
