So my mom's 2012 Edge 2.0 Ecoboost has been continually tripping the 299 underboost code. I drove it yesterday with the scanner and found that it tripped it right away when I left and it had horrible throttle lag. That straightened up and I cleared the code, didn't return until later as I went to pass a car. Otherwise the code does not set. The local dealer was trying to blame it on a sensor for the low fuel pressure, which the particular sensor they are blaming is vapor pressure, and located near the fuel tank. I am wondering if there is a wastegate on this, and if perhaps it is sticking open occasionally. Thoughts/experiences?
