Pictures and Question

Hey guys been asking a lot of questions on here, but being a noob to these trucks I prob dont make sense. This is a new truck to me, and like I said im new to Ford in anyway.

00 F250 4WD is the truck

The questions are the front suspension, you will see a block in it. Thats not right is it?

It has 315x75x16 tires on it. If the front is not right, whats a cheap way to fix the situation right until I get the money for the lift kit I want.

The rear has what appears to be 2 blocks, one around the axle, then one on top. Is this right? If so is that stock ride height? The reason I ask is because I need bags for the rear and need to know what to order.

Other than that, the truck seems to run great.

Let hope I did the pictures right. This is the first time using photobucket.

Thanks for any feedback.

The blocks in the rear are stock F-250, get rid of the fronts asap. There are a lot of leveling kits and choices out there, add a leaf, mini packs, shackles. Start cruising around the vendors and check them out, prices vary for each type of lift and each one has it's advantages and disadvantages. You can get away blocks in the rear because for the most part all you have are rotational forces to deal with which aren't a problem. In the front you have lateral forces acting on the blocks, springs, and u-bolts when you turn the wheels and corner, those blocks will eventually spit out of there and bad things will happen. I hope this helps you and I'm sure that others will chime in.

Yeah get rid of the front blocks, that's quite unsafe, as it can allow the front end to move.

And as stated, the rear is completely stock 250 small block

Looks like someone used front blocks as a levelling kit. Shackle kits, mini spring packs, or new x code springs are safer options to level the front.

I too agree, get those front blocks out of there.

It also appears your front axle seal has blown. Dont be alarmed, this is pretty common and not a very big threat. Its the inner axle seal that is the problem. Its a bit of a project to replace. Also, just be aware that fluid may be kind of low because of the leak.

Like I said, not a crucial thing but something to be aware of. For what its worth, mine is the same way.

Thanks guys. Now the question is, how much in the front does it need to come up to clear the tires? And are the leaf spring on people front kind of flat? Mine are pretty flat compared to the curve on the rear.

Im going over and over all these lift kits from all these companies, and ill be the first to admit this stuff might as well be written in chinese. I have no clue what im looking for. Each company claims the same amount of lift but will fit different different max sizes. Pitman arms, drop something or another, im lost guys. Looking at the leaf springs in the front they do look a little off to me, but that may be just because the blocks are wrong. So I might as well do a little lift when I do this to get new front leaf spring. Figured 4 would be good, but those dont come with the pitman arm (whatever that does), and then when you add in the price of that your at the price of the 6 inch which comes with it. And im looking at the complete kits for the simple fact might as well do shock and all at the same time.

For me lifts=Im stupid, lowered=I can tell you anything you need to know

I know this isnt going to go together, but whats a good decent cheap system? I do tow about 6k lbs about 3-4 times a week to.

And I dont want to go all out because these are new tires that were put on when I bought it, so if I go to much lift I think it will look stupid with these smaller tires. I found I think Rough Country was 950 with the pitman arm and 4 inch lift.

I think a pair o like 2 1/2" lift shakles for the front would get you buy until the lift. I have a set on my truck, and they are a easy install.

I was looking at those. But then I start looking at my front leaf springs and they seem kind of flat or stating to bow up in the middle, so im thinking of just doing a little lift now that will give me new front leafs. Plus I prob need shocks, so im guessing to do it all at once.
