I have a set on my 5.8 right now. You have to drill out the head bolt holes to 7/16", and the AIR hoses won't bolt to the back of the heads. I got mine more because they were available, and cost about the same as it was going to cost to redo my 5.8L head.

Actually you have to drill them out from 7/16" to 1/2"... which can be done on a common drill press, but after that yeah they bolt right on.

Engine mods are a complete waste of time and money until the stock cam is changed. There is an old magazine article out there on the web somewhere comparing a 5.8 truck to a diesel and it tried to show how each motor responds to mods, but of course the article was in a Diesel mag so they wanted to highlight the oil burner. Anyway.. they put $3000 of Edelbrock parts(heads, intake, exhaust) on a 5.8 but didn't change the cam and only got 15hp or 20hp out of it, while I know from personal experience you get more than that with a $200 flat tappet cam in an all stock motor.

I remember reading that article. LOL. While it is true IMO that diesels are easier to mod for your every day pick up truck, they should have modded the 351 properly. Stock cams suck...
