Last few times I've driven my truck I've noticed water dripping in the back passé get corner of the engine bay. I know it's normal when the AC is on to get the condensation but I get it all the time even with AC off. It is just water as it is clear and has no smell/taste to it.
I've just. Ever seen a vehicle do it with the ac off. Any thoughts?
What macd89f250 said. The ac compressor runs in every position except Vent and Floor (and Off, of course) so even though some control positions don't say A/C on them, the ac compressor still runs.
Or, you could just have some water in there from when the compressor last ran and it somehow got trapped in there dripped out later on. Partially plugged evaporator drain?
Oh, I dunno what year truck you have but Im guessing 87 by your name?
Anyhow, if so your climate control panel is different than my 96. Positions might be labeled different, but you get the idea. Ac runs in most positions regardless.
