Just wondering if anybody else's truck does this too.
When I'm low on fuel, 1/8 of a tank but not before the low fuel warning, and under heavy acceleration the truck will stall for a moment like it's running out of fuel for a second then kicks back in. Seems odd to me cause I should have at least 4 gallons of fuel in the tank.
Just making sure I don't have an issue. I would really like to get this addressed.
If its heavy acceleration the fuel went to the back of the tank, away from the pickup. Causing the pump to suck up air. I recommend adding fuel, or driving less aggressive
I agree my driving maybe aggressive but i shouldn't have to keep 1/4 of a tank at all times. Should be better engineering than that.
Oh well.
if you run most GM trucks that low in hot weather you will most likely be buying a new fuel pump.
If it does it more when its hot out it may be a vapor lock issue I had a 06 GMC 2500 that would vapor lock if it was hot out and under 1/4 tank but never on a full tank. We put 3 fuel pumps in that truck in 4 years and 140,000 mi
