Fellas,
I am in the market for a 7.3 or 12 valve cummins. I would prefer the ford but I am finding more cummings than 7.3s out there. I know both are great engines....let me run this by y'all. I was visiting my dads and his neighbor stopped by, we got to chatting and he mentioned that he has a 02 7.3, and I jokingly asked Asked if he would sell it...he said ah maybe, I don't use it much. This guy works in the oil field and has a company truck (and is not hurting for money). Well I went over and looked at it.....crew cab, auto, 4x4 larait, very clean with 92000 miles!!!!! I mean this thing looked new as it was sitting between a benz and a kubota tractor I would give my left *ut for. Anyways, he said he will get back with me on a price. I talked to my dad about it, he knows the truck and the neighbor very well and knows that he is meticulous. This thing looked as good as it gets. What do y'all think would be the ball park price for a truck like that? I was thinking 18-20, had planned on sticking at 15 max...but this seems like one of those deals that I would regret to pass up.
The KBB value in my neck of the woods put that truck from 16 for fair condition out to 18 for excellent. I am going to assume if he knows trucks and conditions, he is going to ask 17-19 for it. Since he is a friend of the family, he may go a little less but I don't see 15. Good Luck
I would think around 15K. But if you really want it, don't let that be a deal breaker. You know the truck, its low miles, well taken care of, it could last a real long time. Is there any mods? Good luck,
That is actually good. You know it wasn't raced around and beat up. Sounds like a keeper to me. Or you could go out and buy a new one. Whats 60K, not me.
