I went to another dealer where I sort of know the salesman, but not very well. Asked the same question you had, and was told roughly 7k off msrp on an order, as NONE of the dealers around here order stock trucks with the 5th prep. I would guess every dealer may be different, but thats what I was told. I have not actually sat down and ordered one yet.

It is really quite simple .... When it comes to vehicle pricing some people get the elevator and the Canadians get the shaft. The uplift on vehicles costs in CDA is just shy of legalized theft. A Chrysler minivan made in CDA can be bought in Florida $8000 cheaper than here. Heh I understand the law of supply and demand but there's more going on in regards to cross border pricing than we know. We need to grow some kahuna's and start boycotting buying vehicles until they price them more reasonably. Will Canadian's pay more, yes, we don't have the volume here, should it be 20-25% more NO, not fair.

Ok, thanks for my rant of the week. Did you pick up I am just a bit ticked off?

cost in Canada

Hey DBC:

Not only more expensive in Canada for some reason but same thing for other vehicles as well. I bought a new 2008 Skandic 600 High Output long track with 2 speed sync transmission, a real snow machine for the deep for almost $13 grand in Canada, yet across the border which was not that far away, the same machine was a few thousand cheaper for some reason. But if I bought it in the states, my warranty would be void for some reason. Some Canadian guys would cross the border and buy and take their chance with no warranty when back in Canada. And when the American dollar was stronger, the Americans would come to Canada and by ATVs or snowmobiles for cheaper than in the states, because their dollar was so strong.

They got ya coming and going.

2013 Job 1 (start of production) is tentatively set for October 22, 2012. Should start seeing them on dealer lots by early November...
