1999 Alternator wiring

I'm trying to install a 1999 7.3l alternator into a 2000 excursion. I've found either the wiring is different between the 2 or I miss wired it. I have power to the fuse in the cab, but the light doesnt come on. At the alternator I have battery power to one of the 3 wires in the plug.
Can anyone tell me what wires need to be hot on the alternator and when (switched or battery power)?

Thats weird. I have power at fuse 29, but I have 2 lg/r wires and only one of them is hot.

I guess I could run switched power to the other one and see if I get charging.
