99 Explorer, not auto temp control.
All was fine last time used.
Got in truck, ac compressor and cab blower won't run
Checked fuses in cab and fuses/relays under the hood in the power control box. Nothing, all seem fine. Swapped relays around and swapped fuses around, everything that was working still worked but compressor still wouldn't kick in and blower won't come on.
I know it has plenty of freon and no leaks.
Cab blower won't come on with either AC or Heat set which would make me think blower motor except the AC compressor isn't kicking in either so it "seems" something has knocked them out at the same time.
Do any of the fan blower speed settings work, including High? The lower speeds provide ground through the blower motor resistor set and blower speed control ****. High speed receives a ground directly by switching the high speed blower relay. There is a second blower motor relay in the battery junction box that provides the power for the blower motor via Maxi fuse 2 (40A) in the battery junction box.
There's not a single fuse or relay though that would also prevent the A/C clutch from engaging. The common item between the two would be the climate controls.
Do you have a test light you can use to check for power at a few key points?
