While I do not have a specific problem with my radiator at this time it does look as if it has seen better days. I will soon start carrying my truck camper in the back ( about 1800 pounds loaded) and would rather not have a radiator failure and be forced to buy the after market junk from the chain stores
So the question is has any one here installed a Champion Radiator (all aluminum) in there truck. Did you experience any fitment issues?
I have one of their radiators in My Nova and with 4.10 gears it barely hits 180 degrees running down the interstate at 3200-3500 RPM's. So i am not worried about the quality just the fitment.
I like the all aluminum construction, unlike the aftermarket auto parts store stuff with plastic tanks,
The Champion is about $220 dellivered where the braqss tank and brass tube ones form the auto store are $280.
The CC1451 is what you're looking at? The CC1451 shown at $209 is a nice deal for sure. Heck an OEM style plastic/aluminum is going to cost me $150!
The way these radiators mount I hardly see how there could be any fitment issues. Photo looks like it has all of the holes/slots needed for OEM shroud installations.
There are a lot of good dealios on ebay. I got a Heavy duty radiator for my f150 for $75.00USD shipped. It fit perfect and works great! It almost works too good.
