i just did the baloon test this afternoon and found the leak on the right side. i didnt want to mess with removing the glowplugs so i removed all injectors on that side and found that the #5 has no copper crush washer on it and doesnt look like there is on in the cup! the lower oring on that injector was completely gone, well it came out while i was pulling it out, but it was broken and straightened out. the others looked good except the #7 had pieces of what i believe to be the rest of the oring all around the screens.
dont the oring kits come with that copper crush washer if so how do you replace it on the ones that already have one?
can you clean the tips of these injectors with anything?

Well what do you know the Old School way worked Good Deal
I was out looking with my MT2500 Snap-on that has the programable
cartridges and was happy to see that I could get everything I
could see with the SGII and more. I was able to reset the code I
got that was shown by the SGII but could not reset. I did not look for
cylinder contribution/balance code info. Next time I will look.
I did see a glow plug test and a injector buzz test.
I do know that the cartridges were updated to cover the Ford
2006 line.
Thanks everyone for the quick replays but I already figured it out. Took a razor to get it started. Can you clean the tip any or is it best to leave it alone?
I didn't think about the hold down but I will do that. I went a head and pulled all of them out just incase any others were about to be burnt up. All injectors held a vacuum but I am still gonna replace #5. Now I'm gonna spend the rest of the night cleaning up the cups.
I was really surprised at how easy this was. It would have only taken me a few hours but I have completely tore down my top end, welded up my egr cooler, gonna put a new oil cooler in and I was gonna put the stc fitting in but some one beat me to it. I remember seeing something on the oasis report about they had a no start and all that but I don't thing they listed the stc in the report.
Is it possible that someone replaced an injector and forgot to check if the copper washer was there?
While I have been waiting on parts to arrive I have been doing research and came across injector cup failures. Should I be considering changing out that injector cup?
If so, does riffraff rent the tool for that? I see they rent the tool for the 7.3 but cant find anything on the 6.0 tool. Will the 7.3 tool work.
