Update After Repairs...

Well after a couple hours in the shop I finally got to install my 155's and Power max. No more smoke in the morning, and the truck is running real good now.

There was nothing wrong with my turbo, but I wanted a power max with the new injectors. I was thinking that the lag was going to be worse than it was, but its not that bad. Im still running my original tunes as Matt is a little backed up so my updated tunes should be here in a day or two and then I can give the truck a good run.

I drove it about 60 miles between today and yesterday, and the only change I really notice is the EGT's are maybe 150-200* higher, mind you this reading is in the drivers side exhaust manifold, so I guess I will put a post turbo pyro in it at some point.

As for the turbo...sounds great, yeah I was that guy driving with the windows down and the A/C kickin just so I could hear the turbo.

So all in all I am real happy with the results although I dont beat the crap out of it, but rolling into the throttle the truck is way more responsive.

It should be a great combo for towing the 5er, and a nice upgrade I think will be to send the FICM off to Ed for the PHP Atlas 40.

Now who wants to school me on a fuel systme upgrade, FASS or Air Dog?

That is awesome. I too entertain the powermax in the future but it may be a distant future. Is the sound much louder and more pronounced than the stock turbo?

Any chance you went with a Regulated Return?

What year is your old turbo? If it's an 03 I might be interested in buying it.

I have the Powermax and atlas 40. They seem to work well together. I'm next doing a roll back on the PCM calibration. (if I can find somewhere to get the TCM calibration read!!!!)

As for the whistle, it is much more noticeable than stock turbo.

I wasn't sure if I would like it, but am like Sarge now, windows down. But, even when up, you can hear it.

And my mileage is up!

When I first started the truck I was like wtf, this thing sounds like the stock turbo, then I high idle kicked on and I started giggling like a kid on Christmas day.

I didnt go with the RR becuase I wasnt sure if I was going to do a FASS or Air Dog. Not sure that I need anything that extreme and a RR maybe all I need.

Im hoping Tex, or NPC chimes in and gives me a little schooling. This truck is used mainly for towing the 5er, I have a Dist.vehicle and a beater car for my short rips in town.

Its nice to hear that the Atlas 40 and PM are a good fit, I cant wait to see how this thing runs with the correct tunes for my truck.

The tubo is for a 05-07, and it was rebuilt with a new center section by FORD before my ESP ran out this February. If anyone is interested in it PM me there is nothing wrong with it, I just wanted to upgrade.

Not sure if your stock pump is going to be able to keep up with the flow requirements of the 155 cc injectors at full throttle.

Hi Sean,
I was able to get mine off my Edge Insight.
It showed the following two values on the screen:
Calibration ECM VXAP2B2
Calibration TCM TQAU0N2
I think that's what you're looking for(?)

I don't remember what buttons I pushed to get there as I wrote that down a while ago, but do you know someone with an Edge near to you?

p.s. Don't tell Benny cause he may get mad. I don't think he can get that off his SGII

So far so good, but thats why I was hoping some one with some more knowledge would chime in. After spending time and money on the injectors I want to make sure they stay healthy and keep supplied with fuel. I keep a real close eye on the FP guage when towing and it goes to WOT.

So...back to the question FASS or Air Dog?
