Hey you calling me cheap ? Lol
I have sunpro gauges boost egt and trans temp they have been in the truck for two years without a issue.
BTW Sunpro gauges are made by Snap-on
You're not cheap.....just easy LOL!!!!
No, I meant cheap in price. The set of three, oil psi, water temp and volt meter were only $40. that's with a black bezel! I didn't know they were made by Snap-on......the reasonable price fooled me! LOL!!
I'm doing the 08 bumper. My uncle own a shop and I think I'm gonna go with a whole custom front end. That will be 08 bumper, headlight and grille if we can get it to work. But I'm pretty sure we can get the light in
Sucks about your truck Mike. Idiots that don't know how to drive. WAY too many of them on the road. The bumper should look pretty good, but I've never been a fan of the headlights on the 08's. I just think they don't look right with the headlight below the parking light. Pet peeve of mine, but I don't like that.
Well, I couldn't stand to wait to put gauges in it, so I went to Autozone after work and bought a cheap set of Sunpro gauges to put in it to see how it will look. The one on the far left is an old battery and hour meter from a battery powered piece of mining equipment from work. It's just there to fill the hole, that's where the Scangauge will go when I get one.
I painted it with Rustoleum textured painted called "Aged Iron". I like it pretty well.......
I'll get some pics of it in the truck tomorrow. I hope you guys don't mind me cluttering up the forum with my little projects. The only one I have to show them to other than you guys is him.......
He hangs out in the shop with me about every night. He's not much help though. I asked him to bring that extension cord to me and it took him for freakin ever! Then, I asked him how he thought I should fasten the gauge and switch panel to the console, and he said "Rivets, Rivets"........he's got a lot to learn if he's gonna hang out with me in my shop!!LOL!!
Lol, I have a couple helpers like that myself. Some figuratively, some quite literally.
The console looks great Bill, nice work!
Sorry to hear about the truck, Mike. Sounds like it may end up for the best though. Take lots of pics for sure!

That made me LOL.
It looks pretty good Bill. I'm gonna have to make myself one too when I put my new seats in and get rid of my center seat. I'm also going to try to do cup holders, a B&M mega shifter, and some other things in the console.
