ok, so I put the bilstien shocks on yesterday, in replacing the gas magnum shocks that where on there. They werent shot but just slow to rebound. Here is that deal before I replaced them if i pushed down on the front bumper I could get truck to bounce 3 times when I replaced with the bilstien shocks they do that same thing. I would think that the front end should be stiffer and not have so many bounces. Is it possible that the coil springs are going bad. Because I have noticed that the front tires do have some cupping on them also. I am kinda puzzeled about it.
ok they are the 4600, the yellow and blue ones. I couldnt find the better ones for my truck anywhere do to the fact that my truck is a stock height 2wd. I got them from parts geek. com
Some reported the bilstiens being shot after a very short time (20K miles or less).
Some reported better longevity (and what I went with) the ranchos. I got in on the rebate deal and got the 9K's which I like for the adjustability. I like the fact that if I don't like the ride I can change it. With any normal shock what you get is what you get, happy or not your stuck with it.

Just wanted to say I love your avatar. Took a nansecond for me to figure it out.
Ridennred what type of bilsteins you got on the truck? 5100? where did you got them from at that bargain price?
no they are the 4600 series. I how ever I am not that pleased with them I wish I would have went with rancho for the truck too. I put rancho's on my explorer and am happier with the out come of the rancho's then I am with bilstiens.

Ya next time I am gonna get the rancho's for sure. The trucks is only 2wd. However if I deciede to keep the truck I am going to put atleast a 2in lift on it. I hate how the front end is lower then the rear.
