trans shifting slow

same truck with the misfire i have a c4 auto that when it goes from first to second to third it seems to take forever and slips into gear also it will go into reverse fine sometimes then other times have to rev engine to get it to engage.when it does if give more than just of idle fuel itll vibrate your teeth out.puzzled

Like Mike said look for cracked/broken vac lines to the trans modulator or a bad modulator.

ill check the lines ive replaced mod once didnt help so maybe its the line.could the mod need an adjustment?

Doesn't sound as simple as a modulator. Check condition of fluid for discoloring(burnt).

its a little dirty not real bad i changed it less than 5000 miles ago
