good morning guys, so heres my latest problem, 1991 ford f150 4x4 went out to go to work this morning it started, ran like a bag of crap then died. when i went to restart it all the lights were on and as soon as i turned the key everything went dead. zero power to anything,
tried to do a search but typing in no power or electrical issue just turned up way too many threads....
my question is, are there circuit breakers, or relays somewhere under the hood which could be shot? or if the solenoid craps out would that make me lose power to everything?
also the wife just told me that awhile ago when she was driving it one day it lost all power while she was on the highway, totally dead as well, she pulled over and it restarted so she continued on her way.....
Clean your battery terminals real good. Take each cable off and clean the terminal post til you see bare shiny lead. Clean the inside of the cable terminals til you see shiny lead or steel where it makes contact with the terminal post. There is a cheap tool that will clean both of these, walmart or any auto parts place should have them. I carry one with me just for this reason.
