SCT from Gearhead Question

So I just got my SCT from Matt at Gearhead today and emailed him my strategy and other info. He emailed back and said that he had never seen that strategy before. The strategy on my truck shows two different codes. Does anyone have a clue what going on or has anyone seen this before?

Sorry...

First Number is: VXBC9NC
Second is: TQBE0NN

I just read somewhere that the second number could me a transmission calibration code. Any validity to that?

The more I look around the more I see others with SCT's with the same question. Some have called SCT Support and have been told that in "older" trucks the programmer will see two codes. First is PCM second is TCM.

Try unhooking the SCT and starting vehicle. Shut it off. Reconnect the SCT and turn the key back to the RUN position (NOT START) and reread that code. See if comes out differently.

I actually tried that last night and saw no difference. It looks as if the VXBC9NC is a valid 2004 strategy, at least from what I have seen. I am just wondering about the other number.

Tranny code. But Matt was more concerned about the engine code - or was it the trans code?

I'm not sure what part of the strategy codes he has issues with, I haven't gotten a response back from him yet.

Well Matt got the tens written and I installed the SRL this morning. All I can say I WOW! The truck has really woken up. I am happy I made the decision.
