Yea.dumb thing always puts random letters after numbers...i dont get it.i guess it smarter than me since i cant make it NOT do it...i have a 6637 and there we are good.for now.
okay Im assuming its just a Filter correct? from one on the searches that popped up i seen where guys where trying to slide it in/on the stock intake pipe but doing away with the air box?
like i said the truck has the Superchip programmer on it and right now its in tow safe mode, will it hurt to just leave it there even when not towing? also while it get any better fuel mileage with it in the performance tune?
also it seems the truck has a small puddle of oil that forms under it on passenger side of the engine near the rear of it... anything thats prone to leaking in that general area? i did crawl under it real quick didnt see anything that jumped out at me, but it was just a quick glance
Your programmer should be fine to leave in any mode I'd think. As for the oil leak, almost all leaks show up there. There is a drain hole in the rear of the block up top on the passengers side. Whatever is leaking is probably up top and running down there. Hpop lines, orings, ebpv, turbo pedestal, etc. Just gotta get in there and find it.
gotcha, I havent gotten tags on it yet since the insurance company is 'rewriting' my policy but i have put about 230 or so miles on it since i got it and have noticed a a small puddle thats maybe 3" or so across 2-3 places that ive stopped and shut it off, BUT i let it run and watched it today for bout 10 mins and the only drip i saw was water from the AC
Did both this weekend and were well worth it. Gave mme a good reason to do an oil change and put all new sca coolant in.
Take a look at the tech links lots of good stuff in there. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ostic-faq.html
