cam phaser question

cam phaser question
Looking at getting a 2008 Lariat Screw and was wondering about the cam phasers....did this issue get taken care of like the spark plugs breaking off?
IS 2008 a "safe" year for these issues?
are there others that might crop up?

There haven't been a huge amount of complaints about cam phasers on the 06 and newer trucks. But that doesn't mean that there have been no problems. It seems the majority of the problem was from using the wrong viscosity of oil. If you run too heavy of oil the phasers will be starved for oil and fail because of the small size of the oil passages. It seems by 08 everyone realized that and there were less problems.
