Do the 2008 5.4's have the cam phaser and sparkplug issues that the 2007 and earlier models had?

 

Think they have the one piece spark plugs. pretty much all of the V8s after 2004 have cam phasers. I *think* the 08-10's have the improved phasers and VCT solenoids.

 

The newer 5.4's do have the one piece spark plugs, which fixes the extraction problems the 06's and older suffer.
However, the oil pump and cam chain tensioners are the same for the '08 as earlier models, so I would have to say they are still at risk for developing the cam phaser tick.
