This may have been covered before, but I couldn't find a thread....I was just getting up to speed on the highway when my truck started bucking and shuttering. It seemed to last about 7-10 seconds. It felt like I was going over extremely rough road, which wasn't the case. I began to let off the pedal and switched lanes. No codes thrown nor anything odd on the gauges that I noticed anyway. It seemed to go back to normal afterwards. I'm taking it in for the nox sensor, which I hadn't done yet. I've got about 15,000 on it and it was unloaded at the time. I get my diesel at the same Valero I always do and use PM22 religiously. Any ideas?
Forgot to mention that I drained DFCM after it occurred, a little more than normal, and saw no water. I'm pretty good about doing that monthly..never seen anything. Anyway...let ya know what happens next week, it goes in Monday a.m.
Mine does it occasionally and I'm sure it's the engine. It normally happens around 50mph when in 6th. I first notice the hopping, then if I try to accelerate it clatters and gets worse. If I let up for a few seconds it stops and starts running normal again. Overall it only lasts for 20 seconds or so. I'm guessing it's the regen cycle.
Well took the truck in today, got the Nox sensor recall job done...seems to running fine. No luck on duplicating the bucking and shuttering, no code history or anything else for them to look at, so hopefully it was just a glitch. I appreciate the input from you all. Roll on!!!
