Two days ago right after leaving the house, the truck studdered twice within about a minute of each other. After a couple hours of running errands, I headed home. From the time I pulled out of the parking lot to the time I got home, it studdered at the slightest pedal tip-in. Got home, and scanned it with AE, ran all the tests, and only thing that came up was a P2614 - Camshaft position signal output circuit open. IPR, ICP, FICM all tested normally. Started it up, drove around the block, no problems. When it was happening I didn't notice the tacometer acting oddly, but I didn't know to look until I did some research.
Yesterday no problems.
First thing today I drove 20 miles across town and shut it down. 15 minutes later it wouldn't start. Threw two codes this time: P2614 and P2617 - Crankshaft position signal output circuit open. 3 hours later it started normally, and no problems since.
I replaced the camshaft position sensor and pigtail last year. Haven't done anything with crank sensor, but I'm wondering if this isn't more indicative of a FICM problem. It always happens at or near operating temps if that helps.
