XL -> XLT?

TexasRebel, I just bought a 09' XL that someone I assume added the factory fog lights. It appears they are all wired in however the light switch does not pull out to turn them on.
When you added fog lights to your truck did you change our the headlight switch?

Well, switch came, hooked it up and no fog lights,
did some other reading and apparently there is not the fog light relay in xl's and some xlt's
if your mirrors have the blinking signal lights in them then the relay is there and it is a simple plug and play
I guess I'll wire mine off the battery with a simple toggle and fuse

It sounds like the pickups that have the Power Equipment Group come ready for fog lights. My XL does have that. Power windows, power locks, power/heated/Turn signal mirrors...
It sounds like all of the wiring is there, can you not just add the relay to the Smart Junction Box? If the relay is already there, the fog lights might be a parameter that can be 'enabled' in the SJB.

I tried to find the link I read and of course cannot find it, sounded like it would cost an arm and a leg to at that relay but I really don't know
I may do some checking but it will be out of town as the Ford dealership here is horrible
