Just seems to take an extended period of cranking for the gauge to move. Rebuilt the oil pressure regulator but to no avail. Replaced IPR due to a blown screen, ICP still reading low and no start. I know you have to have low oil pressure in order to have hi oil pressure. Replaced AM oil cap and filter with MC and rotella.
I take it your working on someone elses truck?????
When that IPR Plugged it maxed out the HPO PSI and God only knows what blew out but the system is at Max pressure when that happens
Have you tried to start with the ICP Unplugged??????? You probably did try this IDK just got to ask since you didnt mention it
Take the Oil Filter Cap off and have someone Crank it over the filter housing should fill FAST
Kinda surprised IPR didnt fix it
Im kinda thinking the IPR Plugged with junk on screen (From the wrong filter and cap combo) couldnt drain and BUILT INCREDIBLE Oil Pressure and BLEW the HPOP BB Out
Im thinking new HPOP or could Plug it where the BB Goes but Im thinking the BB got blown Out
Yeah Benny, someone elses truck. Kind of floored me when IPR didn't fix it. Replaced ICP with no difference, still showing low ICP pressure on scanner. Leaning towards HPOP at this time.
