O2 Sensor Change Out Questions

I'm going to change my O2 sensor in my ’97 F250 (7.5/460). I can only find one. Is there more than one? Should I wrench it out with the exhaust hot or cold? Would penetrating ing oil help?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

There is only one sensor and if it's been in there a long time it wouldn't be a bad idea to get some heat into the pipe beforehand. Also use a boxend wrench on the sensor to break it loose, those open sides sensor sockets often slip when it's really stuck in there.

Cut the wires and use a 6 point socket on it with a braker bar. Heat the pipe with a torch before hand and it'll come right out

I sprayed mine for 3 days with PB blaster. When I finially got around to changing it I took it for a 10 min drive and took it off with a ratchet and o2 socket. Real easy.

If the truck has California emissions equipment then it will have three O2 sensors.
