Just bought a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires. I'm very disappointed. They are 'E' rated but they wander and feel very 'squirmy'. Running 65 psi in them. I plan on returning them and getting BFG All Terrain TA KOs again. The Cooper tires looked great, but I don't think I would want to drive it on the interstate. Bummer....
Hey Benny! I was running them also, I got about 50k out of them too! I thought I would try these Coopers.
I got my ram air hood installed. It looks great. I have a couple of pictures of it in my album. The port is directly of the air filter. It does pump some fresh air into the engine compartment. I have noticed that my FICM stays right on 48 volts now. It did vary from 47.5 to 48.5. It may just be a coincident.

Reason: typo
I ordered it from Summit Racing. It was about $750 including freight if I remember right. I haven't put my grill guard back on, I kinda like it without it.
This sounds similar to the situation I had when I replaced the original equipment BFG Rugged Trail TA's at 63K. The BRG's were really quite worn with little tread. With the new tires, the truck was all over the road and it seemed I was making steering corrections, constantly.
First, I replaced the OEM Rancho shocks which I planned to do with the purchase of the new tires. It seemed to help. However, the truck seemed to continue to wander somewhat all over the road. Next, I had it aligned at the Ford dealer. That improved the drivability as well but there still was some wandering. Next, I had a look at the OEM steering damper and it had a small leak so I replaced it. That seemed to solve the remaining wandering.
Also, I have found over the years that certain size tires require a break in period and in my case, we were on a trip and by time I got around to replacing the steering damper, I had around 800 miles on the new tires.
The new tires have run prefectly for the last 20K miles and I am completely happy. The trick to getting it right is to only make one repair or upgrade at a time so you can determine whether there is any improvement. Good luck!
Best tire I ever ran was Dick Cepek Radial Fun Country 36/15.50/15 that I squeezed onto my old 3/4 ton chevy. Had 4 sets of them and they went 50-60K. And you could crank em up well above 100 and they didn't care.
Obama took care of them producing the bigger sizes with his 35% tax on fuel wasting wide rubber. Therefore I bought some Toyo MT tires and they are a nightmare to keep balanced, they are wearing very well but Do Not Recommend them!!
I had a set of Discoverer AT3 265/70 - 17E on my other truck. Terrible tires. I found them very rough riding, harsh, horrible in winter despite the aggressive tread (I slid through more stop signs at 5 mph that I ever want to again). In 3" of snow I had to air down to 35 psi in my own flat driveway, just to move the truck... thankfully they wore out fast. I bought Hankooks.
I love my AT/3's I just got back from a 4600 mile trip pulling a heavy fifth wheel down and back to Florida. They were quiet at hwy speeds. My fuel mileage averaged 11mpg towing at 65 and had them aired to max pressure. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an inexpensive, good performing tire. As far as a snow tire goes, I was able to plow snow last season in 2wd....by accident of course...... where as the old Conti's were crap trying to gain traction in the lightest snowfall.

I put Cooper 265-70-20 discover AT3's on back in early May after taking off Goodyear Wrangler ATS off. I went south 2 weekends ago on the interstate and have no problems with wandering.
