I would give them some break in time. I just replaced the rugged trails on my 04 with the rugged terrain replacement tires from BFG. Took a trip to colorado and yes they were squirmmy at the beginning of the trip and are now fine. Little over 1000 miles on them. It is supposedly from the molding release and the deep tread patterns. They are very quiet and have I think a 60K tread life although that is not a big concern. So this might be what you are experiencing, break in?
I am not sure what kind roads you guys have but here in Iowa we have found that coopers are not good on gravel roads since they are such a soft tire and they don't seem to hold up well on diesels either because of the torque the trucks have the tires seem to spin real easy when taking off.
Hey guys. I've been on vacation. I ran the Coopers about 200 miles. They didn't change. I swapped them for the BFG's. I'm going to call Cooper. I'm impressed that they commented on this site. We have a set of Coopers on my sons 1/2 ton Chevy 4x4 and they have been great.
