Quick IPR questrion

I need to rebuild my IPR but the kits I have seen are listed under the 99+ trucks. Am I missing something?

Bob at dieselorings.com has them for our trucks. Look under the sensors and backpressure parts.

I'll elaborate so people know.

The only replaceable part on an IPR is that iddy biddy needle part.

When an IPR fails for any other reason besides o-rings. you need to replace it.

The piston inside generally gets worn and tries to turn sideways in the shaft and gets bound up.

It's worth it to just buy a new one from joey or clay.

I agree, I bought one from dieselsite that was used and it didn't last two months. Get a new one!

I'll second what Glenn said. Get a new one. Cry once and it will last another 150K. I had to replace mine at 160K.

What are the symptoms of a bad or failing IPR?

Once I was pulling my camper over a two lane bridge and it stuck killing the motor. I was lucky enough to roll off the bridge. I checked alot of things before thinking about the IPR. I swapped in my spare and the way I went.
