I mounted mine on the inside fender by the starter solinod , but you can mount it in the cab , i have my msd timing box mounted to the top of the trans tunnel....
I removed the factory airbox and put in a K&N. The puke tank got moved to the fender which opened up in front of it. I made a bracket and attached it to the fender.

If this truck wasn't (previously and bought new by) my grandmothers, I'd have mounted it inside the cab. But the inside will be kept clean and as original as I can, minus some subtle changes. The inside of the truck (aside from dirty drivers side floor mat) is quite close to showroom condition. When I got it there were only 25k miles on it.
Now that I have it I'm slowly getting it back to perfect and making it fun to drive. But keeping it a sleeper.
Maf conversion and stroker to come... But boost may also be in its future, that's why I put in the MSD 6btm I had. (I'll post pics of my boost project soon)
I was tempted to go with a "cold air" type intake setup but got a sweet deal on a new k&n drop in filter. And the stock air box isn't a restriction. I couldn't justify the extra cost of the whole setup.
My truck don't have underhood fuses. that musta started 92.
I have an air tank mounted in that location for my onboard air. I'm upgrading to a bigger tank and putting on frame. But that's only so I can mount my water injection tank there.
I'm liking the smoother acceleration. I don't think it's in my head. My truck had some odd power dips (noticed in my 97 f250 also) and now I don't any more.
And my trans controller seems to be more useful cause now trans isn't shifting at those power dips and is holding the gear like I want it.
