95 F150 Trans Problem
We've got a new gal who's parking a 5th wheel at my landlord's house and yesterday she brought some stuff in, parked the truck and then when she went to leave it apparently wouldn't shift at all. The story I got (3rd hand) is the shifter moves, but it doesn't act like it's actually going into gear. The way it sounds was that the engine doesn't load or anything as if the mechanical linkage failed. I think she'd have noticed that the lever had no resistance though if this was the case....
Any thoughts? I haven't actually looked at the truck or talked to her, just curious if this is a common problem. My experience is the 80's trucks. It's a 95 F150, trans code is 'U'
