I have an 86 f250 with a 351 i just want to know if there are any aftermarket parts or just simply tuning tricks i don't know of that would really help my performance. Thanks
If it has the factory 2 barrel intake and carb then those would be the very first things i would switch out. That alone will make a notable differance in performance
An 86 351 should be the HO, which will have the Motorcraft/Holley 4180 4bbl carb and a warmed-up cam. You would have more performance with something like and Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, but the difference wouldn't be large. Probably the best thing would be to change out the cam to maybe the Comp Cams XE250H. And, true dual exhaust will help some, but only if you are really winding it up.
