Smog Removal
Got a 86 F250 351w need ideas for headers carb an intake just plowing snow and hauling some hay wagons around going to remove all the pollution control that ford put on including the misfit holley motorcraft carb.Not looking to spend alot but not going with junk either.Also will the stock intake work ok.Thanks for any input.

4 barrel intake (proformer or a weiand) and a 4 barrel carb (edelbrock or holley) probly around 600 cfm and some short tubes unless you want to do exhaust mods for the longtubes. but the long tubes give you more low end torque. unless you want a different 2 barrel...

yea i shoulda figured anyway its an 86. im not sure how the stocker flows but im sure an aftermarket piece can help improve the flow a little. but its all in how your budget is too i know what its like ive been putting pieces together for over a year now to do my rebuild i feel ya. id go to the local JY and see if you can find any aftermarket carbs, rebuild kits are pretty cheap and it can save money for other parts.
