where does this studed bolt go

I just changed my waterpump on my 1994 460 engine.Everything seems to be working finy hole. no leaks both belts working fine,I haven,t taken it on the road yet tho.But I have a threaded 3/8 inch stud with washers and nut left over .Its 1 1/2 inches long with a 1/4 inch shoulder in middle.Is this stud really necessary? If I remember correctly it came off the drivers side but I could not see illwhere it shoud go . Can anyone help me ? Thanks for any replies . Bill

Without seeing any pictures. I'm going to say it could be the stud from the water pump to the a/c, p/d bracket. Sits below and right of the water pump snout. Mr $
