Up pipes

I have a 99' f350 and i am currently attempting to replace the up pipes. I was able remove the intake and turbo to access the pipes and remove them but i have one problem. The flange bolts that connect the header and the up pipe rotted out and broke and i have rotten chunks of bolts stuck in the flange holes. What is the best way to remove them. Id like to heat them up but its so tight it would be very hard to do. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i could get these out? Also what kind of pipes should i use to replace the old ones?

You may want to pull the wheelwell liners and remove the exhaust manifolds. I'm with you.... torching on my back never goes well!

what about removingthe bolts from where the uppies connect to the manifolds? Or if all else fails, what about cutting the pipes in half and finding a set of used ones off ebay or c-list?

Sounds like its time for a set of headders lol, I'd probably end up taking the manifolds off and working on a bench... Takes time, but well worth it in the end. You don't want to mess anything up trying to cut some time off you know?

Yup, with the fender liners out its really easy to pull the exhaust manifolds. Once their off, you should have a much easier time.

Not A big deal at all. Just a few small bolts and a couple of plastic fasteners. Shouldn't be too hard. I've done it a few times.
