i have a 2000 f350 crew cab 7.3 and every now and then the eng just cuts out totally some times it will stay running sometimes not .any ideas or help would be greatly app, thanks woody

 

Usually cutting out like that is from a bad wire that is shorting out. The IPR connector wire is a good candidate to look at. You will need to start wiggling the wires as the truck is running. If you hear or feel a stumble, start looking more closely.

Another good spot to look at is the drivers side valve cover area. The wire harness to the engine tends to wear on the valve cover.

Yes but it did it before the chip

 

checked wires everything looks ok.
