When I went to put a new modulator valve in my c6, there was a pin in the back of the modulator valve. The pin fell out. Does the pin have a purpose? I bought a new modulator valve that didn't come with a pin. Questions are: does the pin have a purpose? where do I find one if I need it?
You cant just go buy one, if you lost yours you can use just about anything to make one, try a piece of a metal coat hanger or a nail. Just cut a piece that is around 1.650 and adjust the modulator to fine tune the shift points.
These pins came in mant different lengths all the way from 1.601 to around 1.680 so you might have to try a few different lengths to fine one that suits your needs. When you install the modulator you should feel some spring tension about .030" before the modulator touches the case.
Here is a old chart I found, it even has part numbers but I am sure they a discontinued.
