aux switch

aux switch
can anyone help me I have a 2008 F350 I want to wire something to the aux switch they are hot to the switch do I have to run a wire to the switch or can I pick up the lead under the hood or in a harness insted of pulling the dash apart is there a relay to the switch or some were I can run it to thanks for the help

There is a bundle of wires under the steering wheel. (you actually should find two or three bundles)
There is a set of four that match the set of four under the hood... those are the pass-through wires. Those aren't the ones you want.
There might be a bundle of small gauge wires that have stickers indicating "PTO" on them... these also are not the ones you want.
The last bundle of four wires, which should have stickers indicating "AUX1, AUX2, etc." are the ones you want.
