Like mentioned above, these tests are starting points and allow you to eliminate working components to find non-working components. Most people have a mus-conception that the tests tell you what is wrong. This is not the case and you must use the test results, methodical trouble shooting and system knowledge to investigate issues. Reading the posts on the forums helps immensely as you gain knowledge of little things like how the grey CPS effects a CCT passing or failing and other specialty tricks that we have learned over the years. The knowledge on here is something that most of the published manuals do not capture.
Gotcha - Thanks for the info - Still hav'nt had the need for AE - knock on wood,so was'nt sure how that worked.

There's lots of stuff you can learn here that you won't learn in a book or on those so called help videos.

CPS has no effect on buzz tests.

Its a solenoid and poppet test.

Solenoids Rarely go bad.
And by rarely, i mean almost never.

And my almost never, its usually user error installing injectors that damage them and cause them to need replacing.

Worn poppets or broken nozzle springs and all other hosts of silly things can cause a rough idle on start up.

If you have a sticky IPR, you can have a rough idle on start up.

If your ICP sensor is failing, I can see rough idle on start up.

Get where I'm going here?

I always look to injectors last unless its obviously an O-ring issue.
