Guys, I am having a heck of a time replacing the right motor mount in my truck. I removed the 2 bolts and nut and jacked the motor up with my floor jack and a block of wood under the oil pan. All went smoothly when the mount cleared the frame and I removed it. The trouble started when I noticed the holes in the block don't line up with the holes in the new mount. I took it out and compared it with the old one and they are the same. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to get a cherry picker and lift the engine from the top or is it possible to lever it? Thanks in advance!
Are you bolting the mount to the block then lowering engine onto perch - or are you bolting it to the perch first then trying to bolt it to the block. First method is prefered (necessary I think).

X2. The slot on the perch is tapered at the top, which causes the stud to align as the weight of the engine forces it down into the slot.
But, if that doesn't work you might loosen the nut on the left side mount where it bolts to the perch and let both sides adjust. But, don't go wild with the jack as the engine can move quite a bit with both mounts loose.
