broken motor mount...

Anyone have any tips on replacing my driver side motor mount... I tried yesterday to just loosen one side and push the motor up with a floor jack.. this did not go over so well as i could not get the motor to move at all....

also how on earth did you guys get the forward bolt off the motor... the first two were pretty easy to get at with a socket and a u joint... but that last one was a bugger with a wrench...

thanks

nick

Try unbolting the other mount so that the engine will be able to move better. You may not have to take the other mount off the block, unless it too is bad, but you might also try using a hoist.
Hope this helps.

Also, put the frame on jackstands first so the suspension isn't fighting you.
