Very cool tool, but i need some help with how to navigate thru it. First i was able to get to the part where you retrieve DTCs ( apparently i have a few) But how do you get stored IDM codes since it came up showing P1316? Roy

P1316 is stored in the PCM. That code is usually what drives you to more troubleshooting? The normal issue when P1316 is shown is a UVCH connection issue. Are you having any problems?

The only issue is a is sometime erratic idle, but it is slight. Other than that it runs fine. I am going to replace one of the UVCH pigtail on the harness. One of the wires is chafted, i taped it up but i have a replacement pigtail from clay to put on. I was wondering what the next step is when you get an IDm code. I was thinking of clearing the codes, replace the pigtail then see what i get. What do you think?

The P1316 means the IDM has stored codes, was that the only code you got? If so perform a KOEO or BUZZ test and it will display the IDM code.

None of those pertain to the IDM code, I would perform a BUZZ test or try KOEO selftest.

The 605 is from the chip. And having all injectors with high to low opens, I would at least start by ohming out the UVCH. Now you could clear the codes, and see what comes back when you get an SES light.

How many miles on the injectors?

They should likely be ok. I was just curious. Worn injectors, in my case loose armature plate caused a high to low open.

Here is a good reference for ohming out things to maybe find an issue. Although this is ohming at the IDM where as if you were to ohm at the VC's you wouldn't have to remove the IDM.

Search for 50 cent mod or UVCH issues, and you should find a wealth of reading on valve cover wiring issues, if that's what yours is.

What brand are those 80hp injectors?

The UVCH that i have were replaced with the updated version a couple of years ago just after i bought the truck. The PO said they were modified stock injectors, but from what i have read thru this site they are probably not an 80hp upgrade. As a side note this SES light has been on for a couple yrs. Sometimes it goes out when i am driving, but it runs good and i got 24 mpg ( Canadian) after installing a new turbo so i have never been that worried about the light too much. But since i just got a new laptop and AE i thought i could get rid of that light.
