I was installing rear sway bar (off f-250) on my f-100 and need just a hair more clerance so the old coil over shocks got to go. I have always liked monroe gas magnum shocks, any other suggestions. I do tow a 5 by8 trailer sometimes. Thanks
Do you have any real world experience with bilsteins shocks? Been doing some research and they seen to be the way to go. A littie more than I wanted to spend but may be worth it, there design seens to be superior to others. (monotube vs twin) Thanks for the site they seem to be the only ones that carry them for our old trucks. Anyone else have any real world experience with bilsteins/others. Thanks.
Yeah, sure do.. I have HDs installed in my 01 S'crew and 71 Lemans (with a full Hotchkis suspension). Both ride more comfortably and are sure-footed. I used to have an 85 VW GTI commuter and autocrosser with the Sport version which rode very stiff but perfect for the track.
The HDs are the way to go for a street vehicle. Plus, they last a long time.
